Sit Back, Relax, and Paint

“Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life.” - Pablo Picasso. This sentence may have been uttered by one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century, but the truth holds for people of all ages and artistic backgrounds (or lack thereof). The artistic realm is a safe haven from the worries of the world. One of our desires is to provide a space for all to delve into their creativity or simply to pick up a brush and put their thoughts on hold for a couple of hours.

We have a few regular customers who visit us weekly or monthly, just to enjoy being in a creative environment and to give themselves a brief respite from the world. These customers have learned the value of art as an action, rather than a goal. We encourage customers, from ages three to ninety-three, to relax, breathe and not strive for perfection. Our “paint your own pottery” is meant to be, first and foremost, fun!

There are many ways you can enjoy our studio:

1. You can sign up for a class, where you will get step-by-step instruction. This option is great for those of you who want to create something to be proud of but who have reservations about your ability to do it on your own. The instructor-led class format takes off the pressure of creating something from scratch.

2. You can make a reservation for a large group (6+) and bring a group of friends in to celebrate a special occasion. An after hours reservation is great for you if you want to have the space to yourselves and/or bring in a little liquid encouragement. If that piques your interest, our Girls’ Night Out is a great opportunity for you. It is a pre-set after hours event every third Thursday of the month, from 6 to 9pm.

3. You can come in with a friend, learn from each other, feed off of each other’s creativity and enjoy time together.

4. My biggest challenge to you is to come in on your own one day. Treat yourself to some alone time. Exercise your creative muscles or just sit back, relax and enjoy the process. We will always be here to help you if you find yourself in a creative rut.

So come on in to see us. But make sure first to shake off the dust of the world at our doorstep.
